A LOT OF INFO!
Stingray Families,
First off - I want to congratulate all of the Swimmers for swimming their best yesterday evening at the JCC. Stingrays won the meet 620 to 557! Every swimmer contributed to that win and we're so proud of everyone! Ribbons are ready and can be picked up at practice on Thursday or Friday or at the meet on Saturday.
Also a HUGE THANK YOU to all our parent volunteers. We could not do it without you!!! It was a little hectic yesterday especially - honestly a little more than usual and we appreciate the parents that just jumped in when asked and helped make things happen!
Now to some business:
-Thanks to all who declared for Saturday's upcoming meet - It made our jobs much easier and we had to do minimal chasing this morning for remaining swimmer entries! Remember, please declare with an "attending" or "not attending" for each meet. All meets are open for declarations now - you can always declare and change event preferences later.
-Volunteer positions are still available for Saturday! Swim Team and meets do not happen without volunteers! For a little extra incentive: Volunteer Points are awarded by family - The Family with the top volunteer score that beats the Scotts' Volunteer Point total at the end of this season will be refunded ONE swimmer registration fee at the end of the season.
-New Technology Policy - We have had some major issues with phones at practice and at meets. Due to these issues - we are no longer allowing swimmers to have devices on deck. If your swimmer has a phone to communicate with you afterwards, it must remain in their bags for the duration of all practices and meets. Blame it on the Team Reps, blame it on the Coaches. We will gladly take the heat and tell your swimmer to go cheer on their teammates!
-Concessions Donations - If you've already done your shopping- please feel free to start dropping off your donations during practice! We'll store them until our home meet on June 13. Thanks so much to all who volunteered to donate items for our concessions.
-If you have not received your t-shirts/caps, please see Sarah or Katie.
-Swim Team Pictures - Mark your calendars for June 9 - Individual and Team Pictures will be taken! Older swimmers may have to get out of bed a little earlier that day. More information to follow!
-Josh Davis Clinic sign up is open for Swimmers aged 9 - 18 (June 18 @ 8:30am). It an amazing opportunity to learn from an Olympic Swimmer. There is an extra cost associated of $40 which will be paid directly on the following registration site @ https://www.eventbrite.com/e/stone-mountain-swim-...
-Website has been updated with a lot of new information & navigation - check it out!
